Former Accrington Stanley midfielder Bohan Dixon has today signed a year-long contract with the Club having impressed whilst on trial.
The Liverpudlian's form, both in training and in match action - he bagged a brace in the 7-1 friendly win over Lincoln United on Saturday - has impressed manager Gary Simpson enough for him to be offered a permanent deal which will run until the summer of 2014.
Dixon, who can also operate in attack, played with amateur side Kingsley United before cutting his teeth as a semi-professional in the Welsh Premier League with Connah's Quay Nomads in the 2008/09 season.
Stints with Welsh side Buckley Town and local football in Liverpool followed before he joined Hednesford Town in August 2011. A move to Burscough following a couple of months later but it was his impressive form back in the Liverpool Saturday and Sunday leagues that caught the eye of Accrington Stanley manager Paul Cook, who promptly handed him his first professional contract in the summer of 2012.
His solitary season at Accrington, however, was limited to substitute appearances and he was released at the end of the 2012/13 campaign, which also saw him spend a month on loan at Marine.
