Dreams Can Come True!
When Liverpool's Jack Hobbs joined the Reds in the summer of 2005, it was a feather in the cap for the Imps' Centre of Excellence as the teenager progressed through the ranks at Sincil Bank before making the move to the Merseyside giants.
Jack, who captained a Liverpool XI against the Imps in a sell-out friendly at Sincil Bank in August 2006, first joined City in December 1997 as a nine-year-old from the Mayflower Soccer Academy in Boston.
After impressing throughout his time with the Centre, which saw him feature for the Under 18s as a 14-year-old, he was handed a three-year Scholarship by the then Youth Team manager John Schofield at the end of the 2004/05 season.
Portsmouth-born Jack went on to make history for the Imps when - at 16 years and 150 days - he came off the bench to replace Matthew Bloomer in stoppage time against Bristol Rovers, rewriting the Club's history book in the process by becoming the youngest ever player to pull on the famous red and white stripes of Lincoln City Football Club.
In addition to Jack and goalkeeper Scott Loach who joined Watford in the summer of 2006, the likes of Lee Frecklington, Ollie Ryan, Tom Wilkinson and Leon Mettam all came through the Club's ranks as well so it shows that dreams can come true.
