Rugby legend Bill Beaumont OBE set to visit the Bank.

We still have a table available for the Sportsmans Dinner with Bill Beaumont, which takes place on Thursday 6 November (7.00pm) in the Trust Suite at Sincil Bank.

Thursday 6 November 2008 - 7.00pm - BILL BEAUMONT

Former England Rugby captain Bill Beaumont, was a key figure for English rugby during his career picking up 34 caps in the process between 1975 and 1982 when injury brought his career to a premature halt. He lead the side out as captain 21 times including the great side that won the Grand Slam in 1980, which was the first time this had been achived for 23 years. He also played 7 times for the British Lions between 77 and 80 captaining them on 4 occasions.

Bill has also appeared on TVs very popular Question of Sport series. In 1982 Bill was rewarded for his services to rugby with an OBE. He is now heavily involved at Twickenham in the development of the game.
