Jacko joins Sid Dennis for October Dinner.

We are delighted to announce that comedian and popular after dinner speaker Sid Dennis will join Peter Jackson as guest speakers, at our Sportsman's Dinner on Thursday 2nd October 2008.

In a change to this years schedule, Imps manager Peter Jackson and comedian Sid Dennis will replace Howard Kendall, which was due to take place on 25^th of September.

Imps fans will need little introduction to City's current manager after making such a significant impact on the Club in the short time he has been here. His stories from past and present are sure to keep you entertained throughout the evening.

Big Sid Dennis is an after dinner speaker with a difference. He is a metal materials recycler - a scrap metal man to give him a less posh title - or an "entrepreneur raconteur" as he styles himself.

Growing up in the family business of scrap metal, which had been established by his grandfather in 1884, Sid entered adulthood with an already well seasoned exceptional business sense and astute ability to pick up on the humour on even the most mundane affairs of trade.

Sid's ability to relate these events in glorious technicolor led the way to the after dinner circuit.

Always inventive in the way he tells his tales and injecting life into his recollections, an evening with this larger-than-life character will contribute tremendously to an enjoyable evening.

The evening takes place in the Trust Suite at Sincil Bank on Thursday 2^nd October starting at 7.30pm with a lounge suit dress code. The evening will include a full three-course meal, some games and the two after dinner speakers. Ladies are welcome to attend.
