Pupils Excel In Dragons' Den
Gifted and Talented pupils deliver outstanding presentations in Dragons' Den style project.
In conjunction with On Target!@ Lincoln City, the Gifted and Talented pupils from Yarborough High School and Nettleham Primary School have been involved in a Dragons' Den style project which involved them creating a pitch about how they would encourage more 10-16 year-olds to attend matches. Each group had a different proposal, including half time entertainment and an ImpMobile local bus.
The finale took place last Friday afternoon which involved the groups delivering their pitches to Club representatives Paul Kenton, Dave Roberts, James Lazenby and David Beck as well as Joan Beale and Paul Snook representatives from CfBT Education Trust (pictured), with the hope that their ideas would be implemented into future match days.
James Lazenby, the Club's Marketing Manager, said, "We were all very impressed by the delivery and content from all three presentations. The children had obviously taken on board what we had told them at the start of the project and every group provided us with new ideas which we will implement during this season."
OnTarget's Centre Manager, Celia Davis, added, "It's been a great opportunity for both Key Stages 2 and 3 to work collaboratively on such a high profile project. The students have not only produced excellent ideas and presentations, but have also strengthened their skills of decision making and team work."
Using ideas from their projects, the children will now work closely with the Club to promote a fun day at a chosen fixture during the 2008/09 season.
