Match report by Damian Froggatt, FITC Schools Programme Coordinator

This season's first evening Domino's Cup fixture produced another end-to-end encounter from two very attacking teams. Luke O'Keefe and Bradley Meachen both came close for Chad Varah before Tom Forbes latched onto a loose ball and drilled home a fine long range effort to open the scoring.

Haroon Razmandeh then produced a superb solo run which almost led to an equaliser but Lewis Benson was quickly off his line to spot the danger. Saxilby were a constant threat on the break, but Aaron Hodgson was excellent for Chad Varah. Saxilby then extended their lead with another counter attack, this time Kai Benson with a cool finish, and in the closing minutes both teams hit the bar with Bradley Meachen again coming close for Chad Varah and Saxilby's Lewis Kelly almost converting a close range header.

Once again we congratulate both teams for a thrilling game with lots of goalmouth action, and for the spirit in which the game was played. And well done to Saxilby Primary who now take their place in the quarter finals later in the year.
