Future Jobs Fund Programme

Posted on: Tue 23 Feb 2010

Lincoln City Football In The Community is delighted to announce that two new members of staff have joined the team as part of the government's 'Future Jobs Fund' programme, a £1billion government investment which aims to create 170,000 jobs for 18-24 year olds who have been unemployed for nearly a year.

The Football League Trust was successful in its bid to access funding from the scheme to create over 200 new jobs within its national Community programme. And Rebecca Lawson has now joined us as Admin Assistant, while Michael Pointon joins us as Assistant Sports Coach.

Rebecca will support our office team and will receive appropriate IT support and training, while Michael will be working closely with coaching staff throughout our school, club and community programmes.

Both will also receive NVQ training during their first year of employment, and we wish them both every success for the future.

Pictured here are Rebecca and Michael who were present with members of the Football League Trust as well as Kevin Cooke and Richard Cooper from Football in the Community, to recognise this at half time during the Accrington Stanley fixture.
