GUIDELINES

Staying on the Topic
Please consider carefully if your message is appropriate for the Lincoln List. If you have a question on whether or not your message is appropriate, send it to the list owner (owner-lincoln-list@redimps.com) for appoval.

Content & Language
Any foul or abusive language including obscenities, verbal harassment, or comments that would prove offensive based on race, religion, or sexual orientation, or sexually explicit language is strictly forbidden.

HTML Posts
Many new mail clients are set up to send messages in RTF, HTML, attached files, etc. instead of plain text. Please only send plain text messages to the Lincoln List. Any message not in plain text will take far longer to appear on the list than those which are plain text.

Editing Replies
When replying to a message, please only include (quote) the parts of the original message that are needed for it to make sense. That means definitely delete the header and any other nonsense text. Any practical editing that can be done would be appreciated.

Private v Whole List Replies
When replying to messages please determine if your message would be helpful to all members of the list. If not then please only reply to the sender, and not the whole list. This will help reduce "junk" e-mail.
