Here are just a few offers that may interest our young supporters and families...

As part of a national campaign with the Football League the Club runs various schemes and offers to encourage young children and families to SIncil Bank. The Club has previously been shortlisted for League 2 Family Club of the Year at the prestigious Football League Awards which is an indication that Lincoln City Football Club is improving its match day experience for families and our young supporters.

We invite different local schools and clubs to every home match during the season, as well as holding the Domino's Cup - a primary school half time tournament.

Other schemes include themed matches and family fun days on selected match days.

Below are a selection of current offers and initiatives available to our young supporters and families.

Enjoy the Match

Enjoy the Match

The Football League launched a new campaign, for the 2008/09 season, aimed at encouraging even more families to attend matches at Sincil Bank which continues into 2009/10.

The Enjoy the Match campaign aims to ensure parents can take their children to matches in a family friendly environment. It will focus on removing abusive language and aggressive behaviour from family areas.

The Imps proactively steward the family area and display prominent signage discouraging anti-social behaviour. Additionally, a PA announcement, voiced by local children, is played before each match to encourage positive support.

Manager Chris Sutton has underlined his support by signing a t-shirt along with every other manager in the division and we encourage supporters to show their support for the campaign by signing the online pledge at www.enjoythematch.co.uk.

Marketing Manager, Rob Noble, said, "Having been shortlisted at the 2008 Football League Awards for Family Club of the Year whilst also being one of only three clubs in the division to receive The Football League's Family Excellence Award for three years in a row, Lincoln City is one of the leading lower League clubs when it comes to promoting a family environment so we welcome this initiative from The Football League."

He continued, "We have continued with our membership scheme for our younger supporters - Poacher's Family Club - and we will also continue to improve the entertainment on match days to make watching the Imps a day out for the family, which in turn will hopefully bring more people to Sincil Bank."

Poacher promoting the Enjoy The Match campaign

The Football League is supporting the campaign with a range of club guidance and resources, match day programme advertisements, viral video and a promotional campaign.

Enjoy the Match has been introduced following a 'mystery shopper' exercise staged at all 72 League grounds last season. This exercise revealed that swearing formed a key negative impression on families at 46% of the 144 games assessed.

In launching Enjoy the Match, Football League Chairman, Lord Mawhinney, said, "Young supporters will be the lifeblood of our clubs in years to come.It is therefore vitally important that we encourage more parents to bring their children into our grounds by creating a vibrant, family friendly atmosphere at all matches."

Poacher's Family Club - A scheme for children and families.

As an extension to the current schools scheme in the Family Stand area, there will be a membership scheme for children and families which will, among other benefits, include low cost match day tickets for that area. The scheme will create "Poacher's Corner" as a family focused area of Sincil Bank Stadium where children and families can enjoy watching the Imps in a fun and safe environment.

The membership is open to under 16's with a membership cost of just £30 per season for Premier Poachers. Membership will have the following benefits as a minimum:

- Opportunity to purchase a £1 child ticket for each Coca-Cola League 2 game in the Family/IMPS Stand, with an accompanying adult ticket for £7.
- Welcome pack with Domino's Pizza voucher and membership card
- E-Newsletter once a month with fantastic offers and news
- E-Birthday card
- E-Christmas card
- Win a mascot package in our monthly prize draw
- Exclusive Poachers Club events where you can meet the manager and players
- 10% discount off mascot packages
- Goody bags given out at selected games

Dave Roberts, Chief Executive Officer, said, "After consulting with a number of supporter groups we wanted to offer a scheme that would further encourage young supporters and families to Sincil Bank, and build on the excellent work already done"

"Having a focused area in the stadium on match days will give great opportunities to have a family orientated match day experience, with such things as face painting and other children activities.

"One decision that has already been made is that there will be a zero tolerance on bad language in that area."

Sixteen primary schools from Lincoln and the surrounding area will again line up for the wonderful opportunity of playing in front of big crowds at Sincil Bank during the half-time break in a League Two fixture. This season's winners will receive a trophy to keep in the school, medals and vouchers for each player, and every player from every school will receive a certificate from the Club.

You can follow the progress of each school this season as we'll be publishing a regular tournament update, with scores and match reports, in the Community Imps section of the match day programme, as well as on our website www.communityimps.com.
