Eleven On Trot For Ladies
Lincoln City Ladies extended their winning run to 11 matches on Sunday thanks to a 2-1 win at Rotherham United.
The Lady Imps opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Kate Wooldridge who converted a low Nic Stray corner but 11 minutes later Rotherham drew level when Suzanne Davies headed past Kay Hawke.
Kerry Smith then had an effort ruled out for offside after a long-range Wooldridge effort crashed against the bar but Mel Cook's 58th minute cross-shot proved enough to beat the United 'keeper and take the points.
Nottingham Forest's 5-0 win at Tranmere means they stay two points ahead of City as an enthralling climax to the season starts to get closer.
