Ladies Go Top With One To Play

Posted on: Sun 13 Apr 2008

Lincoln City Ladies will go into their final match of the season sitting on the top of the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Northern Division table following a 4-0 home win over Aston Villa.

The goals, which came courtesy of a Jodie Snelson hat-trick and one from Stacey Aisthorpe, secured the success for the Lady Imps with the three points moving them above Nottingham Forest at the top of the table on goal difference.

Rod Wilson's girls now go into their final game of the season - a re-arranged trip to Sunderland next weekend knowing that if they record a better result than Forest, who entertain Sheffield Wednesday, then promotion to the top tier of women's football will be theirs.
