Legend Passes Away

Posted on: Wed 15 Aug 2007

The Club received news today that former Imp Roy Finch sadly passed away yesterday evening at the age of 85.

Roy enjoyed 11 seasons with City, making 275 League appearances and scoring 56 goals.

The left winger signed for City in February 1949 for £3,000 and went on to be a member of the 1951/52 team that won the Division Three North title.

Roy will be remembered as one of City's greatest players and recently came 31st in the Club's Top 100 League Legends poll.

Our thoughts are with Roy's family and friends at this difficult time.
