Imps' boss Peter Jackson was celebrating today after being named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for February.

Jackson has enjoyed a superb month with City securing five wins from six League fixtures with the impressive haul of 15 points from a possible 18 moving the Imps up from 21st to 16th in the Coca-Cola League 2 table.

"What a terrific job Peter Jackson has done at Lincoln City," said Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel.

"He came to the club in October last year when the Imps were in the relegation places before totally transforming the fortunes of the club. Their 15 points from this month tells you everything you need to know about the progress his side has made.

He will be officially presented with his award prior to Saturday's home game against Wycombe Wanderers, which will be his last in the dug-out before he starts his treatment for throat cancer.

"The whole of football wishes Peter the very best in his battle to overcome his health problems," added Kamara.

Also short-listed for the February award were Graham Turner of Hereford United, Darren Ferguson of Peterborough United and Stockport County's Jim Gannon.

Tony Pulis of Stoke City won the award in the Championship and former City star John Ward of Carlisle United was given the League 1 accolade.

The decision to present the Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month award was made by the Coca-Cola Awards panel headed by Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara, former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, Richard Bevan, Chief Executive of the League Managers Association and Tim Ellerton, Sponsorship Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
