Please Stay Off The Pitch!

Posted on: Fri 02 May 2008

Supporters are advised to stay off the field of play following the conclusion of Saturday's game against Wrexham so that the players can acknowledge your support during the course of the season.

Previous seasons have seen fans gather in front of the Echo Stand to wait for the players to emerge after the final game of the season but Assistant Manager Iffy Onuora is keen for the players to be allowed to parade in front of each stand to show their appreciation.

"All the players will come back out onto the pitch after the game has finished so I would like to ask all of you to stay in your seats so they can thank you," he said.

"Doing things this way will be more respectful to the players, especially those who will probably be leaving the Club in the summer."

If supporters are on the pitch after the final whistle then the players will not appear to say thanks!
