Manager Peter Jackson has expressed his delight after being told that his treatment for throat cancer has been successful.

Jackson met with his specialist on Wednesday afternoon and although he will have to undertake check-ups during the course of the next five years, he was obviously elated to be able to announce that he had been given the all clear.

"I'm absolutely delighted and can't wait to return to my job on a full-time basis and focus on leading Lincoln City to promotion," he said.

"I'll still have to visit the hospital once a month for the next six months and now again again for five years but the news is a huge weight off my shoulders and a huge relief for my family.

"I would also like to thank everyone for their messages of support during the time that I was away from the Club and I look forward to repaying your backing by bringing you the success that your tremendous support deserves."
