John Reames Memorial Services

Posted on: Wed 16 Jul 2008

The Club would like to remind supporters of a memorial service for former chairman and manager John Reames will take place prior to our Community Day this Sunday morning.

The service for Mr Reames, who passed away in May at the age of 65, will commence in the Echo Stand at Sincil Bank Stadium at 10.00am and will be conducted by Reverend Canon Andrew Vaughan, the Club Chaplain. All supporters are welcome to attend with admission being via the Fox Executive Lounge. Supporters are advised to arrive early to take their seat in the stand.

After the service and the Community Day, the Imps will take on city neighbours Lincoln United in a pre-season friendly fixture, with the winners being presented with the John Reames Memorial Cup at the full-time whistle.

Also, after consultation with Mr Reames' family, a minute's applause will take place prior to the Imps' first home League game of the season, against Dagenham & Redbridge, on Saturday 16 August.
