Imps Deserving Of Maximum Haul
City recorded their first away win of the season at Chester on Saturday with Peter Jackson's troops well worthy of their 2-0 success.
With the exception of a brief spell late on, City dominated from start to finish and took the lead in first half stoppage time when a Scott Kerr corner was deflected into his own net by Damien Mozika. Adrian Patulea capped an impressive showing by blasting home number two after a swift City counter-attack opened up the home defence shortly before the hour mark.
The closest the home side came was when left-back Laurence Wilson tried his luck from long range only for his effort to crash against the crossbar but the day belonged to the Imps and Peter Jackson on his return to the Deva Stadium.
