FA Youth Cup Second Round Tonight
Supporters are reminded that The FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON second round tie against Mansfield Town will take place at Sincil Bank Stadium tonight, Wednesday 19 November 2008 with a 7.00pm kick-off.
Tom Spall's youngsters booked their place in the second round thanks to a 1-0 win at Grimsby Town on Tuesday night whilst the Stags came from two down to defeat Peterborough United in their first round tie.
"The last couple of games we've played at Sincil Bank have been below-par performances so we'll be looking to put that right against Mansfield," said U18 goalkeeper Richard Bredice.
"Although we defeated Mansfield in the league we can't go into the game with a complacent attitude. We don't want to go into it over-confident as we'll lose so it's up to us to go out there, do a professional job, and book our trip to Birmingham in the next round.
"Playing on the big stage gives you a feel for things. A lot of us are pushing for professional contracts and if you get that then you're going to be playing at big grounds on a regular basis. These are the games we want to play in and these are the games that we'll remember."
Admission prices for the second round match will be £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
