One of the incentives on offer for Lincoln City FC season ticket holders is free travel on Stagecoach buses and supporters certainly made the most use of its second season of operation.
The Club teamed up with Stagecoach East Midlands at the beginning of the 2007/08 season, offering season ticket holders free bus travel for home match days to help fans reach Sincil Bank Stadium much more easily.
Its first season saw a total of 2,700 journeys being made with season ticket holders saving themselves a total of £3,096 in the process but this season's total has surpassed that figure with the 3,525 journeys made prior to the end of March seeing season tickets holders save themselves a staggering £4,136.
"Since we started this ground breaking scheme two seasons ago, we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Stagecoach, who offer an excellent service," said Chief Executive Office Dave Roberts.
"I am very pleased that Stagecoach have agreed to run the scheme again next season."
The Stagecoach offer is one of a number of benefits that season ticket holders receive and is applicable on Stagecoach bus services within the city of Lincoln, and from Sudbrooke, Welton, Dunholme, Nettleham, Waddington, Bracebridge Heath, Branston, Washingborough, Heighington, Cherry Willingham, Reepham, Fiskerton, and Skellingthorpe on Saturday home match days, and after 6.00pm in the evening on the days of evening home matches.
