Lincoln City will this summer be holding a six-a-side youth football tournament welcoming teams from U7 to U16.

The event, which will see 144 teams participate, will take place at the Lincolnshire Showground on Saturday 4th July and Sunday 5th July 2009.

Each participating team is guaranteed at least five matches in the group stages of the tournament and every player in teams taking part at U7 and U8 will be given a medal to remember the day by whilst teams at U9 to U16 will go through group stages and knock outs to decide a winner and runner up for each age group. The winners and runner ups will all be awarded medals and the winning team will be presented with a trophy.

At the Lincolnshire Showground, as well as the 420 matches which will be played over the two days, there will be plenty to do for the whole family at the fantastic venue including inflatables, food stands, penalty competition, rides and much more.

Each club may enter two teams per age group. U7 to U11 teams will play on the Saturday and U12 to U16 teams on the Sunday.
