New Signing A Massive Coup: Jacko
Manager Peter Jackson says that the the acquisition of Chris Fagan could be the "signing of the summer" as his preparations for the coming season continue to gather pace.
Irish U21 international striker Fagan today became Jacko's third permanent signing of the summer, joining the Club on a two-year contract from the Glenn Hoddle Academy, and the City boss is thrilled with the prospect of the former Manchester United youngster being part of his squad for the forthcoming campaign.
"I watched him towards the end of last season and Iffy's been out to Spain to have a look at him and this kid has got everything," he said.
"I said as soon as last season came to a close that I wanted to bring young, talented players into the Club and Chris fits that bill perfectly. A number of clubs in Spain and the rest of Europe were interested in him so he could well be the signing of the summer in terms of potential.
"Glenn Hoddle has put great faith into the Club and myself by letting Chris come here and for us Lincoln City to become the first team to sign a player from Glenn's Academy is a real coup for us."
