Community Open Day 2009
This years Community Open Day is taking place on Sunday 19 July with even more events and activity's than before as we continue our 125th anniversary celebrations.
The fourth annual open day will take place as part of the Lincoln Summer Gala Three For Free Weekend and we have loads of activity's and fun things to do for all the family
Starting at 10.30am there will be fairground rides and inflatables, while our Football in the Community team will have the speed tunnel to measure the power of your shots as well as an accuracy shooting game.
There will be opportunity to meet the Lincoln City first team players with a signing session and the chance to have your photo taken with them while Lincoln City Supporters Trust will once again be providing tours of the stadium.
There will be live music from Lincoln Beevor Band, performances from StreetBeat Movement Academy and a face painter and balloon modeller courtesy of the Lincolnshire Co-op.
With the Imps celebrating our 125 year anniversary we will have a 125 gallery, which will feature a range of different items from the Club's history as well as a display of signed shirts and memorabilia.
We have joined up with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership who will be running a Street Athletics competition on the astroturf while there will be all the usual interactive stalls from both our sponsors and local community and charity groups.
The day will finish in a game on the Sincil Bank pitch between a Lincoln City XI and Sleaford Town who were the Imps first ever opponents back in 1884 with a 2pm kick off. Admission to the game will be via a suggested donation with all proceeds going to charity.
Further details and a timetable of events during the day will be published in due course.
