Squad Arrive In Germany

Posted on: Sun 28 Jun 2009

Manager Peter Jackson and his squad have arrived in northern Germany ahead of their pre-season stay in Celle.

Having undergone fitness tests and picked up their new training gear on Saturday, the squad landed at Hanover Airport this afternoon and are now in Celle for a five-night stay at the nearby army base, which is home to The 2nd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment - better known as 'The Poachers'.

The players will certainly be put through their paces whilst on German soil with intense training sessions high on the agenda whilst they'll take part in two matches, one against an Army side on Tuesday 30 June and one against TuS Celle FC two nights later at the Günther-Volker-Stadion.

Following a light evening session tonight (Sunday) the hard work will start in earnest first thing on Monday morning with three training sessions during the course of the day kicking things off.
