Midfielder Richard Butcher has joined Macclesfield Town on a month-long loan deal.

Butcher, recently made available for transfer by manager Chris Sutton, will link up with Keith Alexander's Silkmen in time for their Coca-Cola League 2 match at Bury this evening.

The 29-year-old, who joined City in the summer from Notts County for a third stint as an Imp, has made 13 League and cup appearances this season but he hasn't started a game since October 17th. His last outing came as a substitute at Rotherham United on November 24th.
