Imps Host Newcastle Reserves
The Imps reserves will host Newcastle United reserves this afternoon at Sincil Bank (2pm ko) in the totesport.com league clash.
Despite snow showers during the morning the pitch at present is playable as the temperatures have barely gone below freezing and the Imps have named a fairly strong side with six first teamers in the starting line up.
The game will give chance for the Imps management team to cast their eye over two trialists with 22 year old Matyas Esterhazy lining up in goal for the Imps. The Hungarian previously played for REAS Budapest who were relegated from the top Hungarian division last year and has been training with the Imps.
The second is full back Morgan Suric who, after coming through the youth system, was released by French side FC Nantes following their relegation from the French top division. The 21 year old full back was on trial with Portsmouth earlier in the season and played against Fulham reserves in a game that featured Joe Anderson, Matthew Saunders and Michael Uwezu.
The Imps also include first teamers Stefan Oakes, Ian Pearce, Clark Keltie, Shane Clarke, Michael Gordon and Steve Lennon.
The Newcastle side will be made up of youngsters with only Ryan Donaldson and Ben Tozer having first team experience this season.
Entrance to the game is via Fox Executive Lounge costing £2 for adults and £1 for children while season ticket holders will be admitted for free on production of their season ticket book.
