Imps V Rochdale - Match Preview

Posted on: Fri 05 Mar 2010

The Imps will once again be without a number of players for the trip to table topping Rochdale this Saturday.

Lennel John-Lewis and Clark Keltie will both be out after picking up injuries in the midweek reserve game against Hartlepool. John-Lewis was withdrawn after just eight minutes with a hamstring injury while Keltie lasted less than half an hour before being withdrawn after picking up a knock.

Nathan Baker remains at least a couple of weeks away from a return as he looks to recover from an ankle injury, while Adam Watts remains sidelined with a broken leg.

Paul Green is City's only other doubt as he struggles with a bad back.

The Imps manager was present to see Rochdale's midweek demolition of Rotherham but claims his side have nothing to fear as they go into the game as underdogs.

Keith Hill has created a well organised side at Spotland this season and the Imps were well beaten in the game at Sincil Bank earlier in the season.

Rochdale currently sit pretty at the top of the league eight points clear of second place Bournemouth and with a game in hand.

Jason Taylor could return after the midfielder was ineligible to face his parent club Rotherham on Tuesday.

Scott Wiseman is a doubt after picking up an injury in last weekend's 1-0 win at Macclesfield. Nathan Stanton is likely to continue in his place having replaced the defender last week.

Kick off at Spotland is at 3pm with David Foster taking charge of the game.

Tune in to Imps Player shortly before kick off for live commentary of the game.
