Richard Butcher has returned to Sincil Bank following the completion of his month-long loan spell with Macclesfield Town.

Butcher scored twice in his eight appearances for the Silkmen but any hopes of an immediate return to the City squad have been hampered through injury, with the midfielder forced off in the closing stages of Town's 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley on Tuesday evening with a hamstring strain.
