Reid Joins On Non-Contract Basis

Posted on: Thu 11 Mar 2010

Former England youth international James Reid has signed non-contract terms with the Imps and will go straight into the squad to face Hereford United on Friday evening.

A product of Nottingham Forest's academy, 20-year-old Reid has been on trial with City over the course of the last couple of weeks and played in the last two reserve matches, scoring on both occasions.

The left-winger, who represented England at U17, U18 and U19 level and had a spell with Rushden & Diamonds earlier this season, has been handed the number 21 squad shirt by manager Chris Sutton.

Second year scholar Greg Enstone, meanwhile, has been handed the number 27 squad number. The 18-year-old centre-back has been drafted in as cover with Nathan Baker, Ian Pearce and Adam Watts all absent through injury.
