City made it two pre-season friendly wins out of two on Friday evening, defeating Walton Casuals 3-1 at the Waterside Stadium.

Mustapha Carayol capped a lively first half by helping himself to a brace; the first coming after he exchanged passes with Drewe Broughton in the 25th minute and the second seeing him let fly from long range 10 minutes later, although Walton pulled one back shortly afterwards when Charlie Hill gave Joe Anyon no chance from a free-kick.

Second half substitute Scott Anson bagged his second in as many games as the trialist converted a Cian Hughton cross with a quarter of an hour on the clock to wrap up the scoring.
