Imps v Barnet - Match Preview

Posted on: Fri 10 Sep 2010

City take on Barnet on Saturday at Sincil Bank for only their third home game of the season.

With five away games out of seven so far this season, the Imps will be looking to build on the 1-1 draw with Crewe last time out at Sincil Bank which saw both sides play some attractive passing football.

That game was Albert Jarrett's last game for the Club before missing the next two games following his call up to the Sierra Leone International squad for their game with Egypt. Jarrett is expected to return to the starting line up on Saturday against his former Club.

City's young striker Andy Hutchinson is almost certainly out after picking up a foot injury in the midweek defeat to Middlesbrough Reserves which has left the frontman on crutches.

Gavin McCallum has resumed light training this week following his hip injury but he may not be rushed back, while Drewe Broughton will also be assessed ahead of the game to check on his fitness after missing the last few games.

Barnet picked up their first win of the season last weekend with a 3-1 win over Cheltenham.

The Bee's will be looking for a much improved performance away from Underhill following a 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield on the opening day and 7-0 humiliation against Crewe in their last away game.

Darren Dennehy will miss the game after picking up a foot injury last week in the 3-1 win of Cheltenham. Phil Walsh is set to play his last game of his loan spell before returning to parent club Dagenham while Steve Kabba should partner Walsh up front after returning from injury last week.

Referee for the game is Peter Quinn and kick off at Sincil Bank is at 3pm.
