Winger Michael, who started his career as a youngster with Arsenal and played for England at U15 level, joined Wimbledon in 2002 and went on to appear 20 times at Championship level before moving to Swindon Town and then Havant & Waterlooville, initially on trial in October 2004 before signing on a permanent basis.
He later had spells at a number of non-League clubs and joined the Imps in November 2009 following a spell with Ryman League Division One South side Merstham FC. He bagged seven goals from his 16 appearances for Merstham and having spent a couple of weeks on trial with City was rewarded with a return to the Football League.
