Lee Frecklington is a Lincoln-born central midfielder who worked his way through the Club's Centre Of Excellence before being rewarded with a Scholarship place.

After impressing in a 2003/04 pre-season friendly against Manchester City, Lee was handed his first team debut in an LDV Vans Trophy First Round game against Telford United at Sincil Bank in October 2003. Lee made three further substitute appearances during the 2004/05 campaign and, on the completion of his Scholarship, was handed a one-year professional contract, which he penned in the summer of 2005.

Lee, who had a two-month loan spell at non-League Stamford Town during the latter half of 2005, then established himself as a first team regular and an impressive 2006/07 season saw him named in the PFA League 2 representative side whilst he also claimed the Club's "Players' Player of the Season" award and won his first cap for the Republic of Ireland at 'B' level.

Lee signed a contract extension in February 2008 and joined Peterborough United on loan 12 months later with a view to a permanent move to London Road in the summer.
