A towering central defender, former Hungarian U21 international János Kovács joined City from Chesterfield in July 2008 having turned down the offer of a new contract with the Spireites.
János joined Chesterfield in August 2005 from Budapest-based side MTK Hungária and went on to play 57 times for the Spireites, scoring twice.
He became Peter Jackson's second signing at City boss with a Football League tribunal deciding that the Club must pay Chesterfield a compensation fee of £17,500 plus a 20% sell-on for his services.
János's home shirt is sponsored by kirksvets.co.uk whilst both his away shirts and boots are sponsored by Sue & Terry Miller.
