Canadian international Gavin joined the Imps on a two-year deal in the summer of 2010 having rejected the offer of a new deal with Hereford United in favour of a move to Sincil Bank.

Gavin, who can operate in a number of attacking positions, started his professional career in England in 2005 with Yeovil Town, but made just one appearance for the Glovers before joining Weymouth following a brief loan spell with Crawley Town and then Havant & Waterlooville.

He enjoyed a prolific 2008/09 season with Sutton United, scoring 19 goals from 54 league and cup appearances and following an impressive trial with Hereford in the summer of 2009 he joined the Bulls on a permanent basis, going on to score eight times from 27 appearances.

Having represented his country at U20 level, Ontario-born Gavin earned his first full international cap on May 29th 2010 in a friendly against Venezuela. He scored a stoppage-time equaliser to earn Canada a 1-1 draw in front of over 20,000 fans in the Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano de Mérida.
