Ayden Duffy is a six-foot plus goalkeeper from Grantham who joined the Centre of Excellence as an under-12 from Colsterworth Colts.
Since signing scholarship forms he took some time to settle in and took time to adapt to full-time training but certainly once the first year was out of the way he settled down well and promises to be a goalkeeper to keep an eye on.
Duffy had experience in the Conference during the latter part of the 2005/06 season when on a work experience loan with Cambridge United and with Alan Marriott and Simon Rayner being the first two in the pecking order at Sincil Bank, Duffy joined Worksop Town on loan in September 2006 in a bid to get some more match experience under his belt.
This loan was quickly extended until the end of the season but Duffy was dealt a blow on New Year's Day when he sustained a broken leg, ruling him out of action for some time.
Whilst out injured, he was offered, and signed, a one-year extension to his contract; this running until the summer of 2008.
Ayden's boots are sponsored by Nicholas Musson.
