Lincoln-born midfielder Shane Clarke is a product of the Club's Centre of Excellence, having joined the Centre at an early age. At the time he felt that it wasn't quite right for him and wanted to continue to be involved with his local club but a couple of years later the Club asked him to come back and he was more than happy to do so and he hasn't looked back since, penning his first professional contract in the summer of 2006.
His first taste of first team action came as an unused substitute in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Grimsby Town in October 2006 and after he signed a new contract in the summer of 2007, his Football League debut arrived in a 2-0 win at Rochdale on January 5th 2008.
