Having initially arrived at Sincil Bank on loan from Premier League side Fulham, becoming manager Chris Sutton's first acquisition as City manager in the process, centre-back Adam put pen-to-paper on a permanent deal once the January transfer window opened on a contract that will run until the summer of 2012.
Adam is a graduate from Fulham's successful Academy system and earned his first professional contract during the 2005/06 season. A commanding defender, he made his Football League debut whilst on loan with Milton Keynes Dons and made a handful of appearances for Northampton Town towards the end of last season.
Adam's wholehearted performances quickly made him a firm favourite at Sincil Bank but his season was brought to an abrupt halt on February 20th when he suffered a broken leg in Lincolnshire derby at Grimsby Town.
