Centre-back Danny started the 2007/08 season as a second year Scholar but having impressed after he forced his way into the first team, signed a professional contract that will run until the summer of 2010.
The former captain of the U18s and a regular in the reserves, Danny - whose father Mark Hone played for the Imps in the 1990s - first joined the Club as an Under-11 and has tackled the transition between reserve team football and League football with maturity beyond his fledgling years.
He capped an excellent first League season by being named as joint 'Young Player of the Season' with Lenell John-Lewis whilst he also found himself on the shortlist for the League 2 Apprentice of the Year award at the annual Football League Awards.
The 2008/09 season ended somewhat abruptly for Danny, however, as a knee ligament injury sustained in a match at Rochdale in January forced him to undergo surgery. Although he returned to the squad towards the end of the season, he was forced to settle for a place on the substitute's bench.
