Australian U20 international midfielder Chris Herd is with the Imps on loan from Aston Villa.
Although he's still waiting to make his first team bow for Villa, 20-year-old Herd has been a regular in their reserves since joining the Premier League outfit from Australian club Bayswater City in February 2005.
The Perth-born midfielder made his Football League debut whilst on loan at Port Vale in January 2008 and later the same season had a month with Wycombe Wanderers. He scored twice from 11 matches for Vale whilst he had four outings for Wycombe.
Herd made his City debut in the televised FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Second Round tie at Northwich Victoria and a succession of impressive performances saw his loan extended until the end of the season once the January transfer window opened.
