One of four first year scholars to burst onto the scene in 2008/09, striker Andy became the Imps' youngest ever Football League goalscorer when he netted on his full debut at Bradford City on Easter Monday. He went on to start the next couple of matches but a hamstring injury meant he was forced to watch the last game of the season from the sidelines.
Having started the 2009/10 season as a regular on the substitute's bench, the departure of Peter Jackson as manager saw Andy return to the youth team fold but an impressive record for the U18s saw him earn a recall to the first team towards the close of the campaign.
He was rewarded with the offer of a six-month professional contract, along with fellow teenagers Nathan Adams and Kern Miller and this was extended shortly before the start of the 2010/11 season.
Although he found first team opportunities limited in the 2010/11 season, Andy gained experience during loan spells with Harrogate Town and Lewes and penned a new one-year deal in the summer having been offered the contract by manager Steve Tilson.
