| Name: | Samuel Clucas |
Lincoln-born Sam Clucas signed a one-year contract at Sincil Bank prior to the start of the 2009/10 season having impressed manager Peter Jackson during a trial spell with the Club.
A left-sided central midfielder, Sam had spent two years studying for a sports development qualification at Lincoln College having previously been involved in the youth set up at Leicester City but the talented playmaker, who was with the Imps at under-10 level before joining Leicester, wasn't offered a scholarship by the Foxes and decided to further his education in his home town.
On the completion of his course he was offered a soccer scholarship in America but with our scouts having monitored his progress over the last couple of years, he was invited in on what turned out to be a successful trial period, which included appearances against Sheffield United and the County Senior Cup Final against Scunthorpe United.
