Former Scottish youth international Brian Gilmour penned a short-term with the Imps in November 2009 before having his contract extended until the end of the season.
Brian, an attacking midfielder, has represented his country from U13 to U20 levels and was a free agent after leaving Finnish Veikkausliiga side FC Haka in the summer.
The 22-year-old started his career with Glasgow Rangers before joining Clyde and then Queen of the South, playing 13 times for the former and 23 for the latter in the Scottish First Division.
After a successful trial Brian joined FC Haka in 2008 and appeared in their UEFA Cup second qualifying round defeat to Danish side Brøndby and prior to his arrival at Sincil Bank had a trial with Championship side Blackpool, turning out a couple of times for their reserve side.
