Scott Kerr, the current Club captain at Sincil Bank is now in his fifth season at Sincil Bank, having joined the Imps in the summer of 2005 from Scarborough.

A junior with Bradford City, Scott appeared in both the Premiership and the UEFA Intertoto Cup for the Bantams before spending two years with Hull City, who he joined for a nominal fee. The Leeds-born midfielder linked up with Scarborough, initially on loan, towards the end of the 2002/03 season, and made the move to the McCain Stadium permanent during the following summer.

A number of outstanding performances in the heart of the Scarborough midfield, Scott received a call up to the England Semi-Professional squad and made his international debut for the England non-League side in the Four Nations Tournament during the summer of 2004.

Club captain during his time at Scarborough, Scott was also skipper of the England National Game XI and scored in a 3-2 victory over Scotland which saw England win the 2005 Four Nations Tournament trophy, which was played in the Republic of Ireland.

Made captain ahead of the start of the 2007/08 campaign, Scott's contract was extended until the summer of 2010 in June 2008 and he enjoyed what was arguably his most consistent season for the Imps in 2008/09, which saw him pick up a number of awards, including the prestigious 'Player of the Season' trophy as voted for by the supporters. A leader in every sense of the word, Scott missed just one game whilst his only goals of the season came in the form of a brace in a 2-0 win at Accrington Stanley in April.
