Grimsby Town res 0-1 Lincoln City res

Posted on: Tue 31 Aug 2010

An early goal from Chris Fagan was enough to see the reserves secure a 1-0 success at Grimsby Town on Wednesday evening.

Fagan struck with the first attack of the game when he latched on to a ball over the top before beating Rob Peet with a left-foot drive and although City had further chances to add to the scoreline, the Irishman's early effort was enough to secure the points.

With the exception of goalkeeper Paul Musselwhite, the City squad had a distinctly youthful look about it whilst the match gave the Imps' management team another chance to cast their eye over Reunion Island trialists Ali Djimali and Adifane Hamada Noussoura, who both started the game at Blundell Park.

City res: Paul Musselwhite, Dan Coupland, Jack Thomas, Kern Miller, Ali Djimali, Karl Cunningham, Nathan Adams, Shane Clarke, Andy Hutchinson, Chris Fagan, Adifane Hamada Noussoura. Subs: Jack Davies, Kerry Nicholas, Elliott Green, Rob Brewer, James Wilson.
