Winger Nathan signed for the Imps on a two-year contract a week before the start of the current campaign.
Nathan started his career as a youngster with home town team Mansfield Town, making his first team debut as a teenager early in the 2005/06 season. Scoring his first goal in only his third game, Nathan went on to appear over 100 times for the Stags before joining Hyde United in August 2009.
After a season with Hyde he linked up with Alfreton Town and helped them reach promotion to the top tier of the non-League pyramid in his first season at the Impact Arena, scoring 13 times in all competitions during the course of the 2010/11 campaign.
He spent a further two years with Alfreton before helping Cambridge United win The FA Trophy and promotion to the Football League in 2013/14. He spent the following season on loan at Grimsby Town and joined the Mariners on a permanent deal in the summer of 2015.
Nathan played an integral part in Grimsby’s return to the Football League via the play-offs, scoring the third goal in their 3-1 success over Forest Green Rover at Wembley Stadium and although he was offered new terms at Blundell Park, he opted for a move to Sincil Bank and the red and white stripes of Lincoln City.
