PREVIEW: Newport v Imps

City hit the road again this weekend and will be looking to put the skids on Newport County AFC's free-scoring start to the season.

The Exiles have been on fire during their first couple of games of the campaign with an opening day 4-3 success at Mansfield Town being followed in midweek by a 4-0 stuffing of Blue Square Bet Premier new boys Nuneaton Town in what was their first league game at Rodney Parade.

Amongst the goals for the Welsh outfit has been Jefferson Louis, who helped himself to six from 14 games last season with the Imps so the City defence, likely to be unchanged for the third successive game, will have to be on their guard if they're to keep him and strike partner Aaron O'Connor quiet.

Manager David Holdsworth is expected to keep faith with the squad that was named against Kidderminster Harriers and Cambridge United, although he strengthened his attacking options earlier today with the re-signing of Mark McCammon on a non-contract basis. Peter Bore remains on the sidelines with a groin problem.

Kick-off at Rodney Parade is 3.00pm with Lee Swabey the match referee.

If you can't make the game then tune in to Imps Player before kick-off for full live match commentary.
