Four members of the Cargill Cares Council attended last weekend's home game against Hereford United to present Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust with a cheque for £14,400.

Donna Wakefield, Cathy Alston, Laura Bacon and Martin Cooper, all members of the Cares Council at Cargill, presented LCFCSET Chief Executive Richard Cooper and City director and Chairman of LCFCSET Kevin Cooke with the cheque, which willl fund the second year of ‘The Cargill Global Walk Challenge’ health project.

The project involves year six children from primary schools recording steps on their pedometers and attempting to visit as many countries that Cargill operate in around the world.

The children engaged in the project have thoroughly enjoyed the competitive element, which is the class that walks the furthest. Last year’s victors were Reepham Primary School.

A huge thank you to Cargill for their continued support for LCFCSET’s community activities.
