Following Saturday’s exciting and uplifting finale to the season at Hyde we would like to once again express our thanks to the Club’s supporters for their backing throughout the campaign.
The size of the away following at Hyde and the sustained vocal support and general good-natured backing of the team was fantastic and more than played a part in producing such a wonderful result and one which guaranteed the Club’s Conference National status.
Many Hyde directors and their guests commented to us on how impressive your support was. To see around 1,000 of our supporters, on three sides of the ground, in party mood from kick off to the final whistle was a really moving experience.
What we said to our hosts was that despite several very disappointing years the support for the Club has remained strong. Home support at Sincil Bank has averaged close to 2,000 this season and over 2,700 at the last two home games. Many of our away games have also seen City supporters turn out in large numbers and give the team terrific vocal backing.
Without your support we would have been unable to provide the same level of financial backing to the Club’s management.
Over the coming weeks we will be working hard to finalise the management team for next season and to give them all the support we can as they put together a competitive squad. We will also continue to explore all possible avenues to bring further investment into the Club and hope to be able to give you more news soon.
We are confident that there are better times ahead for Lincoln City and we know you will continue to support the Club as you have done and hopefully in ever greater numbers.
We hope you enjoy the summer break and look forward to seeing you all at Sincil Bank again in 2013/14.
