Skipper Alan Power has been handed a four-match ban following his sending off against FC Halifax Town on Saturday.

Power was dismissed in the 12th minute by referee Anthony Backhouse for what the official deemed to be a two-footed challenge on former City man Matthew Pearson and as such has been handed a four-match ban with it being the midfielder's second straight red card of the season.

Manager Gary Simpson has decided not to appeal against the decision which means Power will be forced to miss the New Year's Day trip to Grimsby Town and the home league matches against Luton Town and Alfreton Town plus the FA Carlsberg Trophy third round tie against North Ferriby United.

Confirmation has also been received today, December 30th, that Jake Sheridan has been handed a three-match ban for his sending off against Grimsby Town on Boxing Day.

Having already sat out the game at Halifax, Sheridan will also miss the reverse fixture at Grimsby plus the home game against Luton Town.
