The Board of Directors is delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Simpson as the Club's new first team manager.
Gary, who has signed a contract which will run initially until the end of the season, will take charge with immediate effect with his first game as manager being Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier trip to Woking.
Grant Brown and Chris Moyses, who have overseen first team affairs for the last two fixtures, will provide support to Gary, who returns to Sincil Bank having previously spent four successful years at the Club as assistant to Keith Alexander.
"Gary had been in our sights for quite a while and we instigated talks with him early last week, culminating in this afternoon's appointment," said Chairman Bob Dorrian.
"We are very pleased that Gary has agreed to join us and as a Board we look forward to working with him.
"Gary is a former Imps' stalwart and I am sure you will all give him the support he and the Club needs."
